This year, National Lutheran School's Week is January 25 - 31, 2026. More than 1800 Lutheran high schools, elementary schools, and preschools across the country will be celebrating the Lutheran heritage of Christian education during this week. The theme this year is Let's Make a Joyful Noise, based on Psalm 98:4.
The students at Saint John Lutheran School will be commemorating the event with various special activities.
Parents will be invited to come and have breakfast and participate in school assembly on Tuesday morning.
Students plan to sing songs for residents at some of the local nursing homes on Wednesday and Friday, with a movie night Friday evening. Popcorn and a variety of popcorn toppings will be available.
On Sunday, a group of students will provide special music at a few of the local churches for worship services.
